キース・へリングの魅力のすべてが詰まった一冊が発売

中村キース・へリング美術館開館 10 周年を記念して、80 年代アメリカのアートシーンを代表する画家、キース・へリングの魅力のすべてが詰まった一冊が発売された。地下鉄のラクガキドローイングにはじまる彼のアーティストとしてのキャリアは、1990 年に亡くなるまでの10年間。 ヘリングは短い人生を疾走するように創作活動を展開。本書は美術館の10 年間の歩みをたどりつつ、所蔵作品を中心に、暴力や差別を否定して平和や生きる歓びをメッセージとして発信し、人間の意識や社会のあり方を変えていこうとし たヘリングの幅広い活動を紹介する。

The Nakamura Keith Haring Collection has released their ten-year anniversary catalog. The catalog is filled with the legacy of one of the world’s leading figures of the 80s American art drawings in New York City subways, his career as a celebrated artist lasted for a decade until his death in 1990, dedicating his short-lived life to creating art. Through this catalog, we are not only celebrating our 10th anniversary but are also aiming to send out the message of peace and celebration of life, revolving around our collection of Haring’s expressive artworks—introducing his devotion to bring change into our lives.
